DRIVER/MAINTENANCE
As a proactive member of the team, your responsibilities will include providing a shuttle service for guests in mornings and early evenings, being responsible for the maintenance of the chalets and hot tubs, stock taking, snow clearing etc. You will have a great deal of guest interaction so must have excellent client facing skills. Enthusiasm for skiing or snowboarding or wanting to learn is essential. Clean driving license required.
Most importantly we are looking to build a team that works well together both in the chalets and out on the slopes. Driver Responsibilities
- Providing a shuttle service for guests in the mornings and early evenings
- Providing transfers to/from airports on changeover day as organised by our UK office
- Conduct vehicle checks and fill out necessary paperwork on a weekly basis. Inform the Resort Manager of any vehicle problems or accidents immediately
- Ensure vehicles are clean and fully equipped with the necessary safety equipment (snow chains, etc)
Maintenance
- Responsibility for chalet maintenance and hot tubs with a proactive, preventative approach
- Responsible for snow clearing around the chalets throughout the season
Guest Services
- Work with the Resort Manager to cover the staff days off – buying bread and pastries, checking the hot tubs, driving guests to their evening meal
- Buy the daily newspapers for guests and deliver them to the chalets
- Visit all chalets on guests’ day of arrival and explain the service provided
Stock Levels
- Responsibility for stocks of wine, beer, soft drinks and other items not on chef budgets. Inform Resort Manager when wine and other items need to be ordered
- Shop for items not included in chefs budgets such as beer & soft drinks at Metro in Albertville
- Process orders of drinks and other items from Val d’Isère on a weekly basis
- Complete a weekly budget form to account for a budget of €100 per week for maintenance supplies, tolls etc. Liaise with Resort Manager for any items costing more than €50.
Teamwork
- Provide a friendly and professional service to guests, going the extra mile where possible
- Work closely with the team of hosts and chefs, helping in chalets during busy times with cleaning, washing up, hosting.
- Take staff from staff accommodation in La Gittaz to the chalets each day at 7.25am and provide transport for them for their evening shift at 5pm
