Kitchen Porter / Nightwatch

About the Role We are actively seeking Kitchen Porter / Nightwatch staff to come work in our stunning beach resorts in the Mediterranean. You will play an important part of our catering operation to ensure that the kitchen is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. You will be heavily involved in many areas, including the operation of dishwashers, assisting with food preparation and checking deliveries. We’re looking for driven team players who are interested in working hard in return for a great package. Main Responsibilities Duties: Kitchen Porter · General cleaning details which include the operation of dishwashers and other equipment · Ensuring that all crockery, cutlery, glasses, serving dishes, kitchen equipment and utensils are kept to a high standard of cleanliness, are stored in their correct places and are available when required · Washing all floors and walls · Maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen · Unloading and unpacking deliveries, which may include heavy items · Regular taking out of rubbish from the kitchen · Assisting with some food preparation · Attending regular departmental meetings, plus general staff meetings. Duties: Night Watch · Predominantly based in reception to assist guests with all their requirements, problems and difficulties throughout the night and ensure security of the hotel. · Check all hotel areas for security every hour · Check all external doors and for security every hour · Check ground floor and easily accessible windows (excluding guest rooms) for security every hour · Ensure all areas of the hotel are locked and secure at the end of each working day e.g. kitchen, restaurant · Ensure the bar area is cleared of customers and secured at the end of the bar shift · Completion of nightly watch log and report, for submission to the Customer Services Manager.
