Chalet Manager (UK nationals only)

The winter season starts end Nov – end April and often the package offered includes flights, accommodation, ski hire, lift pass and food with some spending money on top as well as tips. We currently have many management roles that we are looking to recruit for various ski tour operators and private chalets in the resorts of: · French Alps – Morzine, Les Gets, Meribel, Courchevel, Saint Martin de Belleville, Tignes, Val d’Isere, Saint Foy · Swiss Alps – Verbier, Anzere, Saas Grund, Klosters, Davos · Austrian Alps – St Anton, Lech USUAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CHALET MANAGERS:

• management of catering, housekeeping, general staffing and customer service
• management of staff training and developing
• customer service delivery – often incl. service of breakfast, afternoon tea and formal evening meal
• proactive communication with guests to ensure all queries are answered and any special requests are met at the earliest opportunity
• managing of chalet budgets
• completion of all financial and non-financial paperwork each week
• general chalet maintenance
• maintaining general hygiene, health and safety standards

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE OFTEN REQUIRED:

• direct people management experience
• previous experience within the ski industry is an advantage
• excellent interpersonal skills
• excellent organisation/time management skills
• IT literate
• full, clean driving licence in normally essential
• conversation French is often desirable
• knowledge of ski resorts/season life is an advantage
