Chalet Couple (Experience Essential)

We are a family run and owned catered chalet company operating in France looking for experienced resort staff to help deliver our catered chalet experience to our guests. We are looking for experienced chalet couples to be an integral part of our snowchateaux team helping to deliver the snowchateaux experience. We all work together to uphold our long standing commitment to excellent customer service to ensure we exceed our customer’s expectations on every level. We are looking for people who can offer outstanding customer service, who can perform professionally and consistently throughout the length of the season This role involves one person being the chalet cook and the other the chalet host. The positions either come with a studio apartment separate to the chalet or with living quarters within the chalet itself. Skills and experience required: · Couples or friends who have previously lived and worked together · Can demonstrate excellent Customer Service & interpersonal Skills · Have worked within the seasonal hospitality industry · Have a can do attitude and be able to motivate others · Have excellent organisational skills · Have commercial catering experience · Have a flexible and pro-active hands on approach to unfolding situations · Be able to work on your own initiative & manage your time effectively · Be a strong team player · Conversational French would be an advantage · Clean driving license preferred as some driving may be involved in the role · Experience of catering for groups of people within a commercial environment · Have a flexible proactive hands on approach · High standards of cleaning and hygiene · Experience of catering for groups of people within a commercial environment Chalet host duties will include the following tasks which are shared between the couple: · To provide and serve a continental and cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, and a 3-course evening meals in accordance with our menu plan in a timely manner 6 days a week · Serve arrival drinks and canapes on arrival day · Serve coffee and chocolates after every evening meal · Help to prepare the chalet for your day off ensuring that a continental breakfast and afternoon tea is set up · Cleaning of all bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas on a daily basis in line with snowchateaux standards · Carry out a full chalet changeover on transfer day in line with snowchateaux standards · Ensure the chalet is well stocked with food, wine, wood and cleaning supplies and that your chalet remains within budget · Additional responsibilities will include the weekly shopping and ordering of chalet supplies · Ensure that all snow is cleared from paths, balconies and ensuring that pathways are safe at all times · Maintaining the chalet hot tub and complete paperwork (where necessary) to ensure compliance with our health and safety requirements · Ensuring that any maintenance / breakages are recorded and reported in the correct manner · You will also complete all chalet accounts and paperwork · Responsible for stock and cost control within your chalet · You will be responsible for ensuring that all our guests receive excellent customer service throughout their stay · Household repairs to include changing light bulbs and minor repairs. · Exceed guests expectation on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, New Year etc · Ensure that any guest queries are dealt with and passed onto the resort manager · Working with the resort managers to help with the opening of the chalet at the start of the season and assisting with closedown at the seasons end Benefits: Valued member of the team · Competitive salary · End of season performance related bonus · Full area lift pass · Accommodation · Food · Ski/snowboard hire · Insurance · Travel to and from the UK at start and end of season · Company uniform · Staff days out · Holiday pay · Full training provided Positions based in France All applicants for European positions must have a permanent National Insurance number, a UK or EU passport, a UK contact address and a UK bank account.
