Maintenance and Chalet Host Couple (Experience Essential)

We are a family run and owned catered chalet company operating in France looking for experienced resort staff to help deliver our catered chalet experience to our guests. We are looking for a maintenance and chalet host couple to be an integral part of our snowchateaux team helping to deliver the snowchateaux experience, working together to uphold our long standing commitment to excellent chalets and service levels to exceed our guest’s expectations. This role involves one person being a maintenance/driver and the other a chalet/flexi host. The positions either come with a studio apartment separate to the chalet or with living quarters within the chalet itself. Skills and experience required: · Couples or friends who have previously lived or worked together · Previous seasonal experience is preferred · Experience of maintenance work or catering for groups of people within a commercial environment · High standards of work and the ability to work under your own initiative · Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills · Be proactive with a flexible hands on approach Maintenance/driver tasks and responsibilities will include the following: • We need a professional or someone with extensive experience in property maintenance & upkeep. • You will need to proactively identify and resolve any maintenance issues in a timely manner whilst working under your own initiative • Maintaining all chalets in resort and keeping to our quality standards to support our guests snowchateaux chalet experience • You will need to communicate efficiently with the Resort Manager and resort staff, communicating daily progress. • Making sure that any major maintenance or repair work is escalated to the correct people and liaising with suppliers and chalet hosts so as to schedule work to minimise any impact on our guests stay. • Be responsible for contacting and liaising with local partners and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for any work that needs to be carried out, that cannot be completed by yourself • Ensuring that all maintenance documentation/reports are completed in a timely manner and an accurate inventory is kept of works carried out • To complete all works to the highest standards in line with company procedure • Helping with snow, ice clearing and other tasks as and when required • As a driver you will assist with the transportation of our guest to and from ski school lessons where required and 1 or 2 weekly airport runs when required • You may be required to transport our resort teams to and from the supermarket on shopping days • You will need to be flexible and adaptable and be able to assist our resort staff in various roles as and when necessary ensuring that all guest receive excellent snowchateaux customer service at all times. Chalet/flexi host duties and responsibilities will include the following: · To provide and serve a continental and cooked breakfast, afternoon tea, and a 3-course evening meals in accordance with our menu plan in a timely manner 6 days a week · Serve arrival drinks and canapes on arrival day · Serve coffee and chocolates after every evening meal · Help to prepare the chalet for your day off ensuring that a continental breakfast and afternoon tea is set up · Cleaning of all bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas on a daily basis in line with snowchateaux standards · Carry out a full chalet changeover on transfer day in line with snowchateaux standards · Ensure the chalet is well stocked with food, wine, wood and cleaning supplies and that your chalet remains within budget · Additional responsibilities will include the weekly shopping and ordering of chalet supplies · Ensure that all snow is cleared from paths, balconies and ensuring that pathways are safe at all times · Maintaining the chalet hot tub and complete paperwork (where necessary) to ensure compliance with our health and safety requirements · Ensuring that any maintenance / breakages are recorded and reported in the correct manner · Carry out weekly ad hoc checks of your chalet to ensure standards are being met and address any issues or health and safety matters with the resort manager · You will also complete all chalet accounts and paperwork · Responsible for stock and cost control within your chalet · You will be responsible for ensuring that all our guests receive excellent customer service throughout their stay · Exceed guests expectation on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, New Year etc · Ensure that any guest or staff queries are dealt with and passed onto the resort manager · Working with the resort managers to help with the opening of the chalet at the start of the season and assisting with closedown at the seasons end In return for your hard work and effort we offer a competitive package working in a fantastic location as part of our valued overseas team.
