Are you looking to spend this winter in the French Alps? We are a family run and owned catered chalet company operating in France looking for experienced resort staff to help deliver our catered chalet experience to our guests.
If you are a ‘people’ person who cares about great service and can perform professionally and consistently throughout the length of the season, then we can offer you a great package living in an outstanding location for this winter season.
We are looking for a maintenance person / driver to be an integral part of our snowchateaux team, helping to deliver the snowchateaux experience. We work together to uphold our long standing commitment to excellent chalets and customer service levels to exceed our guest’s expectations.
The position either come with a studio apartment separate to the chalet or with living quarters within the chalet itself.
Skills and experience required:
· Previous seasonal experience is preferred
· Experience of driving a minibus is essential
· Experience driving in snow and icy conditions would be preferable
· Driver must have a D1 category, driver CPC or more than 2 years of professional driving experience or 2 seasons of winter driving experience (proof will be required)
· Maintenance & DIY experience/background
· High standards of work and the ability to work under your own initiative
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
· Be proactive with a flexible hands on approach
Maintenance/driver tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
• We need a professional person with extensive experience in property maintenance & upkeep.
• You will need to proactively identify and resolve any maintenance issues in a timely manner whilst working under your own initiative
• Maintaining all chalets in resort and keeping to our quality standards to support our guests snowchateaux chalet experience
• You will need to communicate efficiently with the Resort Manager and resort staff, communicating daily progress.
• Making sure that any major maintenance or repair work is escalated to the correct people and liaising with suppliers and chalet hosts so as to schedule work to minimise any impact on our guests stay.
• Be responsible for contacting and liaising with local partners and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for any work that needs to be carried out, that cannot be completed by yourself
• Ensuring that all maintenance documentation/reports are completed in a timely manner and an accurate inventory is kept of works carried out
• To complete all works to the highest standards in line with company procedure
• Helping with snow, ice clearing and other tasks as and when required
• As a driver you will assist with the transportation of our guest to and from ski school lessons where required and 1 or 2 weekly airport runs when required
• You may be required to transport our resort teams to and from the supermarket on shopping days
• Be responsible for the upkeep of company vehicles including refuelling and checking oil and screen wash every day.
• Inform the Resort Manager of any repairs that are required
• Correctly install snow chains when required.
• You will need to be flexible and adaptable and be able to assist our resort staff in various roles as and when necessary ensuring that all guest receive excellent snowchateaux customer service at all times.
• Assisting with the delivery of work or supplies to the chalets.
• Cleaning the vehicle inside on a daily basis and outside on a weekly basis or as/when required.
