Teach English at Summer Camps in Italy

ACLE is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education and the World TEFL Accrediting Committee. ACLE has over 30 years of experience in the language learning and teaching. Each summer the association trains and places more than 400 English tutors into camps for Italian children and teenagers. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your CV by learning how to teach in another country through games, sports, drama & music. Immerse yourself in the italian culture and meet like minded people from all around the world. All applicants are expected to attend a one-week intensive training course on the Italian Riviera, where you can learn everything about our language teaching culture. Once trainee tutors have completed orientation they attend a minimum of three weeks in camps across Italy from the Alps to Sicily. This allows you to put theory into practice. Our camps run from June to September and boast a range of flexible hours. Accommodation, food and transport (during and between camps) is provided alongside a generous study grant, based on the number of weeks spent teaching. Our trainee tutors are supported by a paid study grant, provided by ACLE Fondazione. This study grant starts at €520 for your first 3 weeks in camp, and increases up to €270 a week.

Passport Scan

A legible scan of the details page of your passport (to be uploaded as a jpg file). If you are renewing or need to apply for a passport, you will need to upload the document (receipt) stating this. Once you have your passport you will need to email a copy of it to us. Your passport details will not be shared with any other parties and kept private.

Application Photo

A current headshot/passport-style photo showing your face, smiling, against a neutral background (example above). Please crop the photo to size and ensure it is the right way up. Submit as a JPEG/JPG file.

Mobile Phone Number

Your mobile phone number must be entered with your country code in brackets, the first zero dropped from the front of the mobile number (if there is one), and no spaces before, between, or after numbers.
