"You will create a bond with your host country that will last a lifetime, and with your students and teachers. You will learn how much you are able to handle, how to adapt to new situations, and hopefully the native language. Despite the good and the bad, if you are looking for an experience that will push you to discover who you are and what you are made of, do WorldTeach. Even if you don't plan on being a teacher, I would still highly suggest this program. They will teach and train you to be an amazing teacher, you just have to have the guts to try." WorldTeach Marshall Islands Volunteer Are you looking for a dynamic opportunity to make an impact on the lives of students in developing countries, and change your own life? Do you want to become fluent in a second language, or put your language skills and education to use? With yearlong programs in American Samoa, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guyana, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Pohnpei, Kosrae and Chuuk), Namibia, and Thailand, these dreams and goals become a reality. WorldTeach is currently looking for motivated individuals to serve as volunteer teachers in our yearlong and semester programs. Volunteers teach English as a Foreign Language, math, science, computer technology, and other subjects. Funded and partially funded programs are available for both yearlong and semester programs. WorldTeach provides job placement, housing, monthly stipend, visa, teaching and language training, curriculum resources, field staff, health insurance, and ongoing teaching support from US based Teacher Quality Coordinators. Teaching experience is not required; the majority of our volunteers come from diverse liberal arts backgrounds and have never taught before. Volunteers are full time teachers, and in some programs, have the opportunity to earn a TEFL certificate during their service. WorldTeach is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and the recipient of a Four Star rating from Charity Navigator. WorldTeach was founded in 1986 at Harvard University.
